Mr. Thomas Henry Tanksley, age 46 of Portland, TN died Sunday October 17, 2021 at the TriStar ER in Portland, TN. Mr. Tanksley was born September 9, 1975 in Nashville, TN the son of the late William Thomas Tanksley.

Mr. Tanksley is survived by his wife Anita Tanksley of Portland, TN. His mother Edith Kuhn of Portland, TN. His son Thomas Aaron Tanksley of Bowling Green, KY and his step-son Jacob Robinson of Hendersonville, TN. A step-daughter Victoria Robinson of Lafayette, TN. Two sisters Yvonne Neiman (Gary) of Mt. Juliet, TN and Yvette Brinkley (David) of Portland, TN.

Mr. Tanksley served 4 years in the United States Navy.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Wednesday October 20, 2021 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. Military rites will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday afternoon at Gilbert Funeral Home. The family has chosen cremation following the visitation on Wednesday. Gilbert Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of arrangements for the Tanksley family.
