Obituary

Mr. Thomas High age 86 of Portland, TN, died Thursday, April 15, 2021 at his home in Portland. Mr. High was born October 26, 1934 in Gallatin, TN the son of the late E.T. and Allie High.

Mr. High is survived by his wife, Geraldine High of Portland, TN. Three sons; Jeffrey High (Sonia) of Portland, TN, Kenny High (Marilyn) of Franklin, KY and Kerry High (Julie) of White House, TN. Four brothers; Jerry High of Charleston, SC, William High of Portland, TN, Roy High of Gallatin, TN and Ronnie High of Portland, TN. Two sisters, Polly Kepley and Pam Roberts both of Portland, TN. Six grandchildren; Haley, Clarissa, Josh, Matt, Lindsay and Lauren. Eight great grandchildren; Audrey, Brantley, Gracie, Baleigh, Allison, Alex, Aurora and Jacob along with one great great granddaughter, Katrina.

Mr. High was a United States Marine Corps veteran where he served during the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN with Bro. Bobby Reynolds officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday and from 9:00 AM until service time Sunday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
