Obituary

Mrs. Sherry Denise Sanders, age 64 of Portland, TN died Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, TN. Mrs. Sanders was born November 15, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of the late William and Irene Keen.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by her husband, Allen Sanders of Portland, TN. Two daughters, Sherry Neeld (Robert) and Anita Tanksley (Thomas) both of Portland, TN. Two brothers, Cliff Keen (Julie) of Enterprise, AL and Frank Keen (Joanie) of Indianapolis, IN. Three sisters, Linda Proffitt, Becky Bauerle (Joe) and Sue Turnbull all of Indianapolis, IN. Six grandchildren; Blake Neeld, Jeffery Mooneyhan (Amber), Nicholas Neeld, Joshua Mooneyhan (Brittany), Victoria Robinson (Larry Woods) and Jacob Sanders-Robinson. Two great grandchildren, Grayson and Colton Mooneyhan. 

Along with her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Vanatta, a sister, Sandy Keen and a brother Rick Keen. Mrs. Sanders attended Oak Street Baptist Church in Portland, TN. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. Burial will follow at Jake Link Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until service time Wednesday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
