Ms. Betty Jean Campbell, age 88 of Portland, TN died Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at her home in Portland, TN. Ms. Campbell was born June 1, 1931 in Sumner Co., TN the daughter of the late Gliness and Clara Goosetree. Ms. Campbell is survived by her two sons, Jerry Campbell (Vivian) of Smyrna, TN and Danny Campbell (Patsy) of Portland, TN. Four grandchildren; Tammy Fox (Steve), Danny Campbell Jr., Tommy Campbell (Debbie) and Thomas Campbell. Eight great grandchildren; Chandler Fox, Morgan Fox, Devin Campbell, Paige Campbell, Dylan Campbell, Rebecca Campbell, Makenzie Campbell and Tristan Campbell and a 3 great great grandchildren, Paisley, Callie and Winter Rose. Along with her parents, Ms. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Campbell Jr. and her daughter, Rita June Campbell. A private graveside service will be held Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Goodlettsville, TN. There will be no visitation. Gilbert Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of Ms. Campbell's arrangements. ***There will be a Celebration of Life at the Church of God in Portland, TN scheduled in the coming weeks and all family and friends will be welcomed and encouraged to attend the services.
