Obituary

Ms. Lucy W. Lamberth, age 92 of Portland, TN, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Cumming, GA. Ms. Lamberth was born March 31, 1929 in Carthage, TN the daughter of the late Floyd Franklin and Osha Mae Woodard.

Ms. Lamberth is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Lamberth Akin (Ricky) of Cumming, GA and Cathy Lamberth Boles (Alan) of Hendersonville, TN. Her brother, Paul Woodard of Mayfield, KY and her sister, Joyce Woodard Atchison of White House, TN. Grandchildren; Kristen Hite (Brian Farrell) of Silver Spring, MD, Andrew Hite of Nashville, TN, Clay Cornett (Tracy) of Gallatin, TN, Lori Cornett Stottman (Josh) of Hendersonville, TN, Kathryn Akin Dukes (Richard) of Milton, GA and Ryan Akin (Christin) of Atlanta, GA. Great grandchildren; Samuel Hite Axtell and Carson Hite Farrell both of Silver Spring, MD, Bowen Cornett, Anslee Cornett, Nile Cornett and Atakelti Gebrezgabher all of Gallatin, TN, Brady Stottman, Beckett Stottman, Bauer Stottman and Boone Stottman all of Hendersonville, TN. 

Along with her parents, Ms. Lamberth was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Manford Lamberth. Her daughter, Anita Lamberth Hite and two brothers,  Winburn Woodard and Ray Woodard. Two sisters, Lorelle Anderson and Thelma McCloskey along with a great grand daughter, Nina Grace Hite Farrell.

Graveside services  for close friends and family will be held 3:00 PM Friday, April 9, 2021 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Portland, TN with Bro Greg McCoy officiating. The family has requested that anyone who attended the service at Maple Hill Cemetery adhere to social distancing and to wear a mask.
