Obituary

Larry and Charlotte Allen entered into their eternal home in January 2021. Their 52 years of marriage started on April 7, 1968 in Logan, Ohio where they were surrounded by family and friends.

Larry’s passions included fishing, Alabama football, and enjoying time with his grandchildren. Charlotte’s passions included cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and building memories with her grandchildren. They both enjoyed big holiday celebrations in their home with their daughter Anna Vidrine (Kevin) and Chuck Allen (Raquel) as well as spoiling their pets.

They made Portland, TN their home for the past 20+ years. Much of that time was spent cheering at football games for their grandson, Kaleb, and attending dance recitals for their granddaughter, Mallory.

Larry and Charlotte will be missed for their compassionate hearts and friendly smiles; they never met a stranger. They always left a piece of them everywhere they went. They will forever be in our hearts until we meet again.

There will be a celebration of their lives on Saturday, July 10th at Hollis Chapel General Baptist Church 1344 Brandy Hollow Rd. Portland, TN 37148 with Danny Brown and Victor Creasy officiating. Visitation will start at 11:00 AM, and continue until service time at 2:00 PM. Burial to follow at Old Halltown cemetery. Casual dress attire.
