Mr. Larry Gordon Allen, age 75 of Portland, TN died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Mr. Allen was born November 24, 1945 in Humbolt, TN the son of the late Frederick Gordon and Melvie Marie Allen.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Charlotte Allen of Portland, TN. A son Frederick “Chuck” Allen (Raquel) of Portland, TN and his daughter Anna Marie Vidrine (Kevin) of Marrero, LA. A sister Theshia Keith of Paris, TN. Two grandchildren Kaleb C. Allen and Mallory K. Allen. His step-mother, Nancy Allen of Paris, TN.

Along with his parents, Mr. Allen was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Ann Shankle and Gladys Dial both of Paris, TN. Larry attended Hollis Chapel Church in Portland, TN and was a US Army veteran, retiring after 20 years of service.

The family has chosen cremation. There will be no visitation. Gilbert Funeral Home in honored to be entrusted with the arrangements for the Allen family.
