Obituary

Ms. Karen Jo Hodges, age 65 of Portland, TN, died Tuesday September 7, 2021 at Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, TN. Ms. Hodges was born June 9, 1956 in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of the late Kenneth and Katherine Hodges.

Ms. Hodges is survived by her three sons Randy Chastain (Bridget) of Portland, TN, Richie Chastain (Kimberly) of Westmoreland, TN and Robbie Sadler (Rhonda) of Franklin, KY. A brother Keith Hodges of Portland, TN along with two sisters Kay Gentry and Katherine Hodges both of Portland, TN. 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her sister, Katrina Hodges. Karen was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN with Terry Howser officiating. Burial will follow at Old Brush Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at Gilbert Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Dalton Hodges, Koby Chastain, Chase Sadler, Garrett Sadler, Shane Pippin and Kenneth Gentry.
