Obituary

Mr. James Darren Mooneyhan, age 55 of Portland, TN died Friday, December 11, 2020 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Mr. Mooneyhan was born February 5, 1965 in Russellville, KY the son of the late Roy Lee Mooneyhan.

Darren is survived by his mother, Mable Lou Wheat of Franklin, KY. Two brothers, Bobby and Ricky Mooneyhan both of Bowling Green, KY. Three sisters, Debbie Suddarth of Franklin, KY, Brenda Hillard of Bowling Green, KY and Lisa Pierce (Barry) of Bowling Green, KY along with several nieces and nephews.

Along with his father, Darren was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Willie Stafford. His paternal grandparents, James and Josie Mooneyhan, a brother Roy Mooneyhan Sr., and a nephew Grayson Knox Mooneyhan.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2020 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. Burial will follow at Jake Link Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday and from 9:00 AM until service time Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Gilbert Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
