Pastor Clinton Eugene Barnes Jr., age 46 of Portland, TN died Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Mr. Barnes was born May 13, 1974 in Nashville, TN.

Pastor Barnes is survived by his wife, Kelly Barnes. His four daughters; Makayla Laine Muro (Jonathan), Alaina Barnes-Farmer (Dillan), Isabella Caroline Barnes and Landrianna Mia Barnes all of Portland, TN. A brother, Rodney Steven Barnes of Sinking Cove, TN. His parents, Imogene and Clinton Barnes Sr. of Portland, TN. His father and mother-in-law, Ronnie and Donna Davenport of Portland, TN. His grandmother, Evelyn Nunnley of Tracy City, TN. Clinton also was anxiously awaiting two grandchildren that are due in the coming months.

Clinton was Pastor at Christ Apostolic Church in Portland, TN. He was also the Assistant Director of Schools and the Director of Transportation at Sumner County Schools.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Garden in Gallatin, TN. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time Sunday at Gilbert Funeral Home. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Mission Fund at Christ Apostolic Church, PO Box 890 Portland, TN 37148
