Obituary

Ms.Carmen Quintana, age 93 of Portland, TN formally of New York, died Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Ms. Quintana was born April 11, 1927 in Caguas, Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Rafael and Graciela Quintana.

Ms. Quintana is survived by four nephews; Eddie G. Corcino of Athens, GA, Hector Corcino of Portland, TN, Oscar M. Corcino of Puerto Rico and Abner Alvelo of Puerto Rico. Two nieces, Noemi Corcino and Gloria A. Alvelo both of Puerto Rico.

Ms. Quintana immigrated to New York when she was 18 years old to take care of her family in Puerto Rico. She was a very talented seamstress working her entire life in New York and giving everything she had to her family. Carmen was a member of Broadway Seventh Day Adventist Church in New York and attended Oasis Seventh Day Adventist Church in Portland when she was able.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. Burial will follow at Old Brush Cemetery in Portland, TN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday and from 2:00 PM until service time Tuesday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
