Obituary

Mrs. Camilla Jean Cummings Palmer, age 92 of Portland, TN passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mrs. Palmer was born July 29, 1928 in Portland, TN the daughter of the late Allison and Eva Nell Cummings. Jean taught school for a few years then was a homemaker. She loved being outdoors, gardening and tending to her flowers.

Jean married Frank Palmer on December 26, 1946. They had a son Joe who died a month after he was born. Their second son, James, was born February 11, 1955. Frank Palmer passed away in 1999 and Jean married her second husband, Don Stinson in 2000.   

Mrs. Palmer is survived by her son, James Palmer (Peggy) of Tulsa, OK. Three grandchildren Matt Palmer (Alisa) of Lubbock, TX, Julia Aulicino (Justin) of Tulsa, OK and Mark Palmer (Sarah) of Franklin, TN. Six great grandchildren; Olive, Eleanor and June of Lubbock, TX and Wyatt, Greyson and Genevieve of Tulsa, OK along with several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Palmer was a member of Portland Church of Christ in Portland, TN.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Portland Church of Christ in Portland, TN. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time Saturday at Portland Church of Christ in Portland, TN.
