Mr. Anthony James Merritt, age 32 of Portland, TN died Thursday, April 22, 2021 in Nashville, TN. Mr. Merritt was born July 1, 1988 in Nashville, TN the son of the late Ellen Perry.

Mr. Merritt is survived by his wife, Ashley Merritt of Portland, TN. A son, Anthony Merritt Jr of Portland, TN. Two daughters, Alexis Rush and Alivia Merritt both of Portland, TN. His father, Ronnie Merritt of Portland, TN. Two brothers, Joseph Perry of Nashville, TN and Ronnie Merritt of Portland, TN along with a sister, Margie Wallace of White House, TN.

Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN with Matt Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time Tuesday at Gilbert Funeral Home. The family has chosen cremation following the service on Tuesday evening.
